Internal Signage – Castlebar Swimming Pool

The team at signwest and designwest are thrilled to have been part in some small way of the opening of the new 12m euro facility that is the Castlebar Swimming Pool. The signage that we have created is based on the Brand for Mayo.ie which of course was originally created for Mayo County Council. The graphic designers at designwest modified the existing logo which uses more vibrant colours were reworked to create aqua tones which would work well with the whole theme of swimming. The signage consists of a LEd backlit sign which is positioned in the reception area of the new pool. This uses a combination of foamex – stand-off fixings – printed vinyl and a perspex front which is backlit by LEDs so it is a lit sign. The other piece is a large aluminium sign which is mounted poolside and backed again by stand-off fittings so it raised off the wall. We are really thrilled with the results and hopefully, our signage will light the way for many thousands of swimmers in the coming years.
